Shine ON (Tres)

It's Friday night...and I jus jus jus jus just got paid.
Money Money Money.
(NSYNC whats up?!)
I'm sure this is going to be another moment
when you have no idea what I am talking about.
Sigh.

anywho
TGIF!
I have been waiting for this day since...well Monday.
I love Friday's because I can  get my SHINE ON.
And as you've heard me say before I'm a little obsessed with The Shine Project.
And by a little I mean a lot.

Photobucket

This weeks challenge:
START BRAINSTORMING IDEAS FOR A SHINE SERVICE PROJECT.

This challenge made me giddy. Mostly because I have been planning what I am going
to be talking about for 6 months now.
Well, at least in my head planning.
I guess I made a facebook page too, but that's it.
And I only told one person......so ya doesn't really count.
So I am more than happy that this was this week's SHINE challenge.

My Goal in LIFE: To Start a Non-Profit Organization (AKA Change peoples lives).
(Besides having a large, wonderful healthy family.)
One way I thought of doing this was having a "Cookies for a Cause" Event.
Or something to that effect.
During Christmas time this year something hit me pretty hard.
I took a look around.
I stopped for a brief moment and just took it all in.
Christmas.
Love.Joy.Happiness.
People who act like the grinch become angels.
It is a magical time.
It really truly is.
Then I realized, not everyone has the same experience I do around that time of the year.
Some kids don't even get to experience Christmas like you (general term here) and I.
Some kids aren't blessed to wake up to presents, cookies half eaten from santa, and
a tree full of colorful and bright glowing ornaments.
That breaks my heart.
So, I want to start something that allows for children
that may not get some of these privileges at home to
be able to experience such magic.

Cookies for a Cause
Name subject to change.

GOAL:  Give students an experience that they will never forget.
I want to have one day where kids can come in and decorate cookies, make ornaments, read holiday books, play games, make presents for their family members, and listen to christmas music all day.

Every year my familiy holds a cookie contest. It gets intense. People even started making their OWN cookie cutters. (Okay my brother and his wife are engineers and are creative like that).
But it is really something I ALWAYS look forward to about the season.
I love traditions.
I love buying gifts.
I love watching my family open their gifts.
I love it all.
I just love the happiness that is in the air.

I may not have down all the details yet, but I want to make this an annual event.
An event kids look forward to, just like I look forward to my holiday traditions.
I want it to be a day they will remember, a day that holds a special place in
their heart.
I want them to have zero worries for one whole day.
Nothing to think about but being happy.

I cannot wait to start the process.
Any ideas, suggestions, and help
are welcome.
=)

Theme Song + Awards

I have to share this.
You may not care, or even like country at ALL
but this song is the shiz. And it was made for ME.
Seriously.
Maybe Brad Paisley is secretly telling me he wanted/wants to
marry me?
Well, I DO Brad.
I DO.
:)

Old Alabama-Brad Paisley
She’d rather wear a pair of cut-off jeans than a fancy evening dress,
And with her windows rolled down and her hair all blown around, she’s a hot southern mess...
She’ll take a beer over white wine (okay but I LOVE LOVE red wine) and a campfire over candle light,
And when it comes to love, oh her idea of a romantic night...

Is listenin’ to old Alabama, drivin' through Tennessee...
A little Dixieland Delight at the Right Time of the Night,
And she can’t keep her hands off of me!

Now we’re rollin’ down an old back road,
I got the steering wheel in one hand...
We’ll find a hideaway where she and I can play,
In Mother Nature’s band...

Now we’re listenin’ to old Alabama, parked somewhere in Tennessee...
A little Dixieland Delight and It Feels So Right,
And It’s Love In The First Degree!
Forget about Sinatra or Coltrane, or some ol’ Righteous Brothers song,
And Barry White ain’t gonna work tonight, if you really wanna turn her on;
Play some back home come on music that comes from the heart,
Play something with lots of feeling, ‘cause that’s where music has to start.

Yup. I am obsessed with this song.

Wedding Wednesday (cuatro)

I am going to start having to look up my
Spanish words for these posts.
After ten I'm dunzo.

Anyway,
HAPPY WEDNESDAY!
In fact, happy wedding Wednesday.
The coolest day of the week.
(Thank you for all your help and tips last week on the venue!)

Good news about all of that commotion.
I have heard of TWO new places that have "potential" in the
reception category (outdoor/indoor).
(Thanks Tiffany)
Whoop Whoop!
I cannot wait to see them both.

Today I'm here with FLOWERS.
Mostly because I've become obsessed with flowers
lately with everything blooming and bursting with color.
Makes this gal smile.

Right when I got engaged I immediately knew
what I wanted as my wedding flowers.
Gerber Daisies.
Why?
Because they are so full of LIFE and COLOR.
They just scream happy to me.
If that were possible.
Anyway, to me they are perfect.

However, I am in a bind with
how many colors to use at the reception.
Because I don't want it to look "childish"  with
all the colors. I just want them to look
pretty, fun, and classy.

I also "considered" using sunflowers.
Because obviously I am obsessed with those as well.
Hints my header.
However, I think I should stick with my original
gut feeling I've had for the past three years.
Alright, I made three years up but it sounds like
a good time to start loving something.

I know this is a long time down the road.
But I can't start coordinating the rest of the colors for the reception
until I have the flowers down.

There are so many stinking decisions to make it's kind of cRazy.
And I am the worse decision maker EVER.
Which is why I am asking for your help.
;)

I hope you have a beautiful Wednesday!
Really, I do.

Truthful Tuesday

WANTED: Molly's Post for today.
We have a missing post out there in bloggy land somewhere.
For real, it's gone.
Ran away.
I cannot find it.
First time for everything.
Oh well,
=)

THE TRUTH IS....

I AM RUNNING AROUND LIKE A CHICKEN WITH MY HEAD CUT OFF.

via
Seriously.
I feel like I am always thinking about what I have to do
next that I can't even concentrate on what I am doing
right this very moment.
I counted today and I have 15 projects between
me and graduation!
BOOM.
That is very excited, yet TERRIFYING.
Graduation is in less than a month.
Eek.
One day at a time, Molly.
ONE DAY AT A TIME.

I AM OBSESSED WITH THE SHINE PROJECT.

via
It makes me heart quite happy.
It makes me realize how many
good and wonderful people there
are in the world.
It makes me want to continue
to DO MY BEST.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
CHANGE AND BETTER LIVES.
And simply to just be a better person in general.
I am so happy, thankful, and blessed
I have found such motivation and inspiration.
If you haven't been there...I encourage you to
check it out.

"NON REPLY" BLOGGERS
No not people who do not reply.
Silly.
I get really sad when I see someone
has commented, but I cannot comment back
to them because they are "non-reply" bloggers.
(It looks like <noreply-comment@blogger.com>
Wahhh.
I cry.
It makes me feel bad because I want to comment back to all of you
and feel bad when I cannot.
I didn't even know what this was for the longest
time until someone pointed it out to me.
If you didn't know you had this and you want to fix it:
1.) Dashboard
2.) Edit Profile
3.) Click on show my e-mail
4.) If you do not want people to see your "personal"
e-mail you can always make a blog e-mail as well.
So if I am not replying, that is why...and not because I'm ignoring you.
=)

I LIKE YOU GUYS. A LOT
Hints comment above.
And you make my day much better
just by reading your sweet and fun comments.
I'm just happy to be here.
Happy to be alive.

Have a good Tuesday!

Feeling really blessed.

One Month Countdown

One month from today I will be walking down this.

Looking something like this.

Popping this. (or a few)

Wearing one of these.

Pictures VIA
Reppin' an apple on my cap!
I am so excited.
Sad.
Nervous.
Pumped.
I am going to miss my peoples.
Weird how your classmates turn into
something like family.
It's not going to be the same without the "blue cadre" together!
Lucky for all your children though,
they are going to be amazing teachers.
Love you all to death.
most days ;)

Cheers to the class of 2011!!!

Earth Day & Shine On!

Photobucket

YAY.
Happy Friday!

I am so glad to be introducing
I Shine Friday #2.
If you missed last week just click here to
see what all the hype is about.
I PROMISE you will not be disappointed.
And I don't promise for no darn reason, that's for sure.

This week's challenge was relating to Earth Day.
This week, our challenge is to GIVE BACK TO THE EARTH
what we've taken.
Which IS today if you did not know.
So....HAPPY EARTH DAY!

For Earth Day this week I decided to
do something I've wanted to do for awhile.
Start RECYCLING.
(I still think in my head how to spell recycle by singing the song off of Ren & Stimpy.)
"R.E.C.Y.C.L.E Recycle.
R.E.S.E.R.V.E Reserve.
Dont you P.O.L.L.U.T.E polute the air and environment or you will get....
what you deserve."
Ya. That is a song on Nickelodean.
I hope someone knows what I am talking
about or I will look like an idiot.
Or old.

We have two trash bins in our house so I decided
to dedicate one to recycling.
I really wanted to plant some flowers, but sadly our duplex
doesn't really allow for cool things like that.
My future house better be prepared :)

I think The Shine Project is amazing.
Simply amazing.
I also love the new direction it is going in.
I cannot wait to make a DIFFERENCE
in my community.
Anyone in Kansas?
Let's do this.
Seriously.
I want to change this crazy ol' world.
Who's with me?!

Here are some fun happenings for Thursday I feel I must add:

Yup.Love him.

How cute are they? Seriously I want to squeeze them all. Oh, and they were kind of embarrased I was taking pictures. Can you tell? Whoops.

GO REDS!

Love me some #7!
What are you looking most forward to this weekend?
Did you celebrate Earth Day?

I get to see J tonight for the first time in THREE weeks today.
I cannot wait.
Seriously.
Also, guest post tomorrow :)

I hope you have the happiest of Fridays!
Shine, baby!

Date Night

First off
HI.

Have I told you lately that I loved you?
Well.
I do.
I love hearing each and every one of your comments.
It truly does make my day.
So thank you for making me smile daily, it is appreciated!

Moving on....

Happy THURSDAY!
Tomorrow is FRIDAY.
Hip Hip HOORAY!

So I invited two of my lovers over for dinner
last night and had a dashing good time.

The Dates:

Mr. Spoons

&

Mr. Yellowtail

I couldn't of been any happier than have my
two bff's over to enjoy a nice evening
with me.
We romanced over Extreme Couponing and
Real World.
We keep it classy in this house.

Okay, now I am laughing.

I need a life.
Or maybe just a job where I don't sit at
a computer for 5 hours straight.
One or the other.
And this is the opposite direction this post was suppose to go.
It was suppose to be deep and meaningful.
Well screw that.
Not feelin' deep right now.

Cheers to a GOOD DAY!
(see cheers below)

And cheers to getting a $2,000 scholarship in the mail today.
=)
Life is good.
